Improve your reach, reduce in person visits and support your pupils, parents and staff
with a 360° virtual tour

How can a 360 tour help your education setting?

Increase Bookings & Enquiries

If your education setting needs more bookings, a virtual tour can help. It improves your reach and can be used within your marketing to capture interest.

Save time and reduce unnecessary in person visits

A virtual tour allows potential students and their families to see if your setting is the right fit for them before arranging an in-person visit. This means in-person bookings are with people who are already committed.

Allow students to familiarise themselves before their first day

Our virtual tours provide an interactive way for students and parents to familiarise themselves with the environment before their first day. By offering a glimpse into classrooms, common areas, and even the carpark, it eases anxiety, particularly for neurodivergent children who may benefit from visual preparation.

As a busy mum of two, I understand the challenges that come with finding the right school and nursery for our children. The time-consuming process of visiting multiple schools can be overwhelming, especially when balancing family life. That's why I am passionate about bringing 360 virtual tours to schools.

These immersive experiences not only save time for parents but also help prequalify potential customers by giving them a glimpse into the school's environment from the comfort of their own home. Beyond the convenience for parents, my biggest motivation for implementing virtual tours in schools is the positive impact they can have on children.

Starting at a new school or moving classrooms can be anxiety-inducing for many kids. Virtual tours provide a sense of familiarity, allowing children to explore their new surroundings before they even step foot inside. This proactive approach can significantly reduce anxiety, especially for those who may require additional support. I believe that by offering virtual tours, we can create a smoother transition for children, making their experience more and less stressful.

  • How long do I have access to the virtual tour?
You’ll have access to your Matterport Virtual Tour for as long as you need, as long as the yearly hosting fees are paid.
  • How much does a Virtual Tour cost?
Pricing depends on the size of the space. It starts from around £450 and increases based on the size of the area. If you're unsure of how big your business is, don't worry, we can assess this for you.
  • Are there any monthly or yearly hosting costs?
Yes, there’s a yearly hosting charge, which ranges from £50 to £100, depending on your project. To make things simple we include the first year within your inital quote and will be in touch with you a month prior to renew.
  • What information do you need to prepare a quote?
To give an accurate quote, here's some of the things you can provide: 1) A floor plan or architect drawing or 2) An idea of square footage or 3) Info on the number of rooms, floors, and ideally the floor space size. The more detail we have the better but if you don't know any of the above, don't worry - we'll help you work it out. (Once your tour is complete you'll instantly receive a floor plan and be able to measure everything in the tour so you will have this information to hand for the future)
  • How long does a shoot take?
This varies depending on the size and complexity of the space. For example, a single-level showroom might take just a few hours, while a large wedding venue could take a full day. Extra large buildings may take several days.
  • How many people are present at the shoot?
Typically, one or two people will be present during the shoot.
  • Can we include people in the tour?
In places open to the public we usually scan them empty however if you wish you can include staff in the tour. This is great for places like schools because users can virtually meet the teachers for example.
  • How long until our Virtual Tour is ready?
Most scans are uploaded within a few hours after we've shot them. Once uploaded, it may take up to 24 hours for the scan to render and be ready to share.
  • Do you provide BIM files for design applications?
Yes! After scanning, we can generate BIM files compatible with software like Autodesk® Revit. This is an add-on service, priced separately from the standard scan. The BIM output includes: RVT file (Revit 2020 and newer) .DWG (Floor Plan) .DWG (Reflected Ceiling Plan) .IFC (IFC4) .RCS (Point cloud) This service is perfect for professionals in the AEC industry, such as: Sectors: Commercial, Retail, Data Centres, Architecture/Design Firms, Engineering Firms, Construction Companies. Beneficiaries: Professionals handling design, construction, project management, acquisitions, and leasing.
